HIME SUSHI

Terms of Sale

These terms apply when you order bento or matcha desserts on this website. Please read them before you place an order.

About us

HIME SUSHI is a trading name of [TO CONFIRM: registered company name]. We are registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [TO CONFIRM]. Our registered office is [TO CONFIRM: registered address].

You can reach us by email at [TO CONFIRM: contact email] or through our contact form.

These terms

These terms apply to bento and matcha desserts ordered and paid for online. Private chef dinners, party catering and matcha wholesale are arranged by individual quote, and the terms we agree with you for each booking apply instead.

Ordering

When you pay, you make an offer to buy. A contract between you and us is formed when we send you an email confirming your order. If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euros. The delivery fee is shown before you pay. [TO CONFIRM: whether prices include VAT, and the VAT rate]

You pay in full when you order. Payment is processed securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.

Delivery

Bento is delivered by our own team within the Amsterdam postcode areas 1000 to 1109, between 11:30 to 13:00 in the time slot you choose.

Matcha desserts are delivered by our own team in the same Amsterdam areas between 14:00 to 18:00. To Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom, they are sent chilled or frozen by courier and arrive between 09:00 to 18:00 on the delivery day.

For deliveries to the United Kingdom, import duties or taxes may apply. [TO CONFIRM: who pays customs charges for UK deliveries]

Please make sure someone is available to receive the order at the address you give us. If no one is there, we may not be able to deliver again, and the order cannot be refunded. [TO CONFIRM]

Our food is fresh and must be kept cold. Please put chilled items in the fridge and frozen items in the freezer as soon as they arrive, and follow the storage instructions that come with them.

Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel your order for a full refund up to 2 days before the delivery date by contacting us. After that, we will have bought ingredients and started preparing your food, so we cannot offer a refund. [TO CONFIRM: cancellation period and refund policy]

Our bento and desserts are perishable and made to order for a specific date. This means the usual 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply to them, under Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code, which implements the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

If something is wrong with your order, for example an item is missing or not of the quality you expect, please email us at [TO CONFIRM: contact email] on the day of delivery with your order number and, if you can, a photo. We will put it right with a replacement or a refund. [TO CONFIRM: time limit for reporting problems]

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Allergies

Our kitchen handles all 14 major allergens. Please read our allergen information and tell us about any allergy before you order.

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. Our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Complaints

If you have a complaint, please email us at [TO CONFIRM: contact email]. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to resolve it fairly. [TO CONFIRM]

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes will be handled by the competent court in Amsterdam. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
